INSEED Program: A Platform That Builds Leaders of Tomorrow

Skillmine has been encouraging learning and development through our innovative programs. The INSEED program is one such initiative. Skillmine has been organizing INSEED, a 3-month skill-building, and development program to create opportunities for graduates to work in the world’s leading corporations. Graduates with a proven academic track record are selected and trained in the areas of Information Security, Digital Transformation, AI and ML, Cloud, and IT Infrastructure, as part of the program.

Launched in 2018, over 20 batches have completed the program, and 200 candidates have been recruited so far. Here we will introduce a few selected technocrats of the program who have come out in flying colors through the program.

Aditya Agrawal

Aditya is an Information technology professional with a Bachelor of Engineering degree focused on Computer Engineering. He describes his experience in the INSEED program as enriching. During the course of his training, he was exposed to various aspects of SOC and SIEM. As a part of the program, he worked as an IT Administrator in Skillmine, where his everyday tasks involved troubleshooting and problem-solving. IT security is an area that has always fascinated Aditya and with the INSEED program, he got a chance to learn new technologies and processes regarding infosec.

Rajeshwari Aher

With an academic background in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, prior to joining Skillmine, Rajeshwari worked as a Techno-Functional Consultant in ERP. After working for around 4 years, Rajeshwari realized where her true interest lay: GRC. This prompted her to pursue the INSEED program, where the training sessions were interactive with emphasis laid on productivity. During her training, she was given a walkthrough about the complete structure of Governance, Risk, and Compliance. Currently, she is working as a GRC Analyst.

Rajeshwari feels that her knowledge in terms of cybersecurity, including the GRC functionalities, has immensely increased after the INSEED training. The program has boosted her confidence, empowering her to take up new challenges in GRC.

Ruchi Sharma

Through INSEED program, Ruchi, who has a Masters in Information Technology, got the opportunity to learn all the basics of Information Security, networking, Operating System, and security tools like McAfee ePO and Splunk. She started her career with Skillmine under the guidance of highly skilled mentors and trainers. Ruchi Sharma got accustomed to the latest technologies which has helped her a great deal in her work at Sony as an Associate Engineer.

Sneha Balasubramanyam

Sneha, who completed her B.Tech degree in the stream of Electronics and Communication Engineering undertook the INSEED training and learned Burp suite, Nessus, Kali Linux, NMAP Commands as part of the program. She also got training to perform VAPT on websites and networks. She currently works as an Enterprise Security Analyst. Sneha considers the INSEED training as a fulfilling one, both personally and professionally.

Manikandan Gopal

After completing his Mechanical Engineering degree, Manikandan underwent basic server, network, information security, basic computing, SIEM (Splunk), and DLP as part of the INSEED program at Skillmine. The lectures and resource materials of the INSEED training program helped him brush his technical and soft skills and enhanced his leadership qualities. During the training period, he got ample exposure to various aspects of the cybersecurity field. He presently works in the field of Cybersecurity and Risk Governance in a multinational financial institution and helps the organization in identifying and mitigating their risks with regards to compliance

Conclusion

Skillmine has been able to motivate and guide talented candidates through the INSEED program. A huge contribution in this regard is made by our in-house trainers, who enable the trainees to face challenges better through constant support and guidance. We look forward to absorbing and training new talent through the INSEED program in the coming years.
